Ashcott Coronation Playing Fields

The Playing Fields are located just to the north west of the village, down Kings Lane

There are two Football pitches, the pavilion with changing rooms, and a children's play area.

The fields were purchased in 1957, following fundraising started the year of the Queen's coronation in 1953. Early maps often show the fields by the title of Coronation Playing Fields

In 2007 we obtained planning permission to replace the ageing changing rooms, and set about fundraising The new Pavilion opened in August 2016 and was funded largely by Viridor credits with support from the parish council. It provides home & away changing facilities and showers for sports teams as well as a fully equipped kitchen & function room (seats ~35). The pavilion is available for hire by community groups and can also be booked for private parties & functions.

The field acts as the "home" to Ashcott Men's Football team Ashcott AFC, Ashcott Youth Football, and the Ashcott Ladies Rounders team.
