County Council consultation on Planning Applications.

Please use the link above to have your say on the proposals of how planning applications are dealt with once the district councils and county councils are merged into one unitary council.

Please note that it has been announced that for planning purposes (certainly initially) will be divided into the same administrative areas as they currently are.

Going forwards the County will be sub-divided into 18 Local Community Networks, to offer support groups of towns and parishes, and keep some localism etc, but the remit of these and what they will do is not yet finalised.

The results are for the a39 into the centre of the village.  As usual there are very few people within the speed limit.

  GRIT BINS

There are now 12 grit bins situated around the village. These are for use on the highway only and not private property.  If there is ice on the highway outside your house please use them if you need to. These are for everyone’s use. PLEASE USE THEM RESPONSIBLY AND REMEMBER THAT HIGHWAYS MAY HAVE TROUBLE GETTING OUT TO THE VILLAGE TO TOP THEM UP IF THE WEATHER IS BAD FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD. If you notice that they are getting low or are empty please report it to either the Chairman or the Clerk of the Parish Council.
